Golf: Puerto Vallarta's trademark courses, designed by Jack Nicklaus, Tom Weiskopf, Robert Von Hagge, and others are within a relatively short distance from the Villa del Palmar Flamingos. Vista Jack Nicklaus, Vista Tom Weiskopf, Marina Vallarta, Paradise Village, Four Seasons, Mayan Palace, Flamingos, Tamarindo, and Isla de Navidad are all beautiful courses. Activities Team: Always on the look for fun ways to entertain you, the activities team facilitates several pool and beach activities. The lagoon-style multilevel pool is the perfect venue for water volleyball and all kinds of water fun. Play volleyball or enjoy a soak in the Jacuzzi on the beach. Take a Spanish lesson or two! Take a pottery class. You may schedule a wide variety of activities and tours onsite through the concierge.
Pools: A spectacular heated, multi-level free form pool has garden islets and waterfalls. The pool winds down to the beach through the central gardens of the resort. There is a large spa tub near the pool as well. Complimentary lounge chairs, sun umbrellas, and towels are provided all throughout the pool areas. There is a 30-person spa tub poolside that is illuminated at night by a fire pit.
Water Sports: Enjoy sailing and boating, windsurfing, snorkeling, kayaking, water volleyball, body boarding at Flamingos Beach. Independent operators offer parasailing, personal watercraft, and a scuba and diving instructor comes to the pool to offer instruction (on-request with a surcharge).
Diving and snorkeling: The calm waters of the Bay make for great snorkeling, and there are several experienced operators that will take you on excursions. Snorkel and dive with sea lions! The bay is home to turtles and an abundance of tropical fish of amazing variety. There are many secluded beaches and hidden coves on the rim of the bay, with several sites that are safe for snorkeling and first time diving. Experienced divers will find plenty of challenges as well.
Fitness Center: Enjoy a vigorous morning workout at the exclusive, fully equipped Gym and Fitness Center. Cardiovascular machines, workout stations, and free weights are available.
Kids Club: Enjoy your vacation with the confidence that your kids are having their own fun at the fully supervised Kids Club. Well-trained, child certified, staff provides age specific activities Sunday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm for children ages 4-12. Kid Nights including dinner, arcade, disco and fun on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Kids Club reservations should be made 24 hours in advance. Exploration and Site Seeing: Enjoy some marvelous whale watching during December to April as the humpback whale gives birth to its young. Like Los Cabos, Mexico, Puerto Vallarta has its own version of Los Arcos. Unlike the above-water granite formation in Los Cabos, Los Arcos in Banderas Bay is actually an underwater marine park reserve that is protected by the Mexican government and makes for excellent snorkeling tours.
Beach: The silky Flamingos beach stretches for miles and the beachfront at Villa del Palmar Flamingos Beach Resort and Spa is meticulously groomed and kept very clean. Consult the resort concierge to make arrangements for jet skiing, windsurfing, fishing and parasailing. Enjoy sunbathing, strolling along the beach, jogging, brilliant sunsets, and soft starry nights. The surf is quite calm along this beach, so swimming and snorkeling may be fully enjoyed, along with all other water sports.
Larger Gatherings: The convention center is soon to be completed and will accommodate up to 270 persons in state-of-the-art facilities. Currently Villa del Palmar Flamingos offers meetings facilities for up to 30 people in a private meeting room. They can also accommodate smaller groups for meetings and receptions. The culinary staff can provide a number of meal options including full service and buffet style for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Should you require audiovisual equipment, they can assist you with obtaining the necessary equipment and set up to assure the success of your event.
Entertainment: Live entertainment nightly with dinner and theme shows including Mexican Fiesta, International Dance, Caribbean Night, Casino Night, and others. Shows may vary according to season and are dependent on weather conditions.
Shopping: The Flamingos Marketplace offers an on-site supermarket with an excellent selection of groceries, sundries, magazines, and beverages. A short drive into Puerto Vallarta also yields some fun places to shop, such as the Isla Rio Cuale with all the attendant small indoor shops and outdoor marketplaces surrounded by restaurants and cafes. There are many malls and small specialty shops, and fine art galleries with masks, pottery, wood carvings, silver, hand-dyed rugs, and more.
