Golf: Several golf courses in the Puerto Vallarta area offer fun and challenging venues for amateurs and professionals alike. Within minutes of the Mexican Resort at Los Tules you can be at the Marina Vallarta Golf Club. Other courses are the Vista Vallarta Golf Club (both the Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf courses), and Flamingos Golf Club in Bucerías, El Tigre Golf Club in Nuevo Vallarta, Four Seasons Golf Course at Punta Mita, Mayan Palace Golf Club in Nuevo Vallarta, and El Tamarindo Golf Course in Costa Alegre. World-famous designers such as Tom Weiskopf, Jack Nicklaus, Robert Von Hagge, and others have created these resorts. The stunning scenery and beauty of Puerto Vallarta courses rival that of courses anywhere in the world.
Pools: Seven swimming pools and four children's pools at the resort offers an extensive selection of playing, swimming, sunning, and lounging near the water. Comfortable lounge chairs are provided all throughout the pool areas. Four of the pools are found along the beachfront and have a children's section or an accompanying children's pool. The other three pools are situated among the condominium buildings. One of those pools is designated as an adults "quiet pool" and has a large, rock-grotto spa alongside.
Diving and Snorkeling: Puerto Vallarta has many places to dive and snorkel. Divers enjoy an exceptional opportunity to explore Banderas Bay, marine national parks, and secluded beaches. The bay is home to turtles and an abundance of tropical fish of many kinds. There are many hidden coves along the rim of the bay, with several sites that are safe for snorkeling and first time diving. Amateurs and experienced divers will find plenty of challenges equal to their skill levels. Los Arcos, located just off Playa Mismaloya, is a notable underwater marine nature preserve and is made up of several small islands with reefs, tunnels, caves, and arches. Waters are warm and clear year round.

Water Sports: Enjoy sailing and boating, kayaking, parasailing, body boarding, etc. in many places along the shorelines and coves of Banderas Bay. Motorized equipment is available by third party tour providers. Check with the hotel concierge for details.
Beach: The beach at Los Tules resort is long (1 mile), wide, and perfect for swimming, with calm surf and warm waters. Play at the beach volleyball court. Enjoy sunbathing, strolling along the beach, jogging, brilliant sunsets, and soft starry nights.
Health and Beauty: There is a health and beauty spa at the resort with a basic services offering.

Shopping: Mexican Resort at Los Tules has a small minimart onsite for basics and sundries. Enjoy a complete shopping experience when you visit downtown Puerto Vallarta and shop the many stores along the Malecón and throughout the downtown. Vallarta has a little something for everyone! From eclectic shops to designer boutiques selling fine jewelry, beautiful silver, designer dresses, and home décor to shopping centers like the Paradise Plaza with over 100 commercial spaces with well-stocked supermarkets, restaurants, banks, clinics, and a fantastic disco. Stroll the cobblestone streets of downtown Vallarta with its clusters of unique shops. Whether you’re looking for books, pewter, furniture, ceramics, original art, paintings, clothing and swimwear, Mexican handicrafts, hammocks, gifts and souvenirs, leather products, or something completely one-of-a-kind, you’ll find it.
Entertainment: There are many local events in Puerto Vallarta and surrounding areas. During the day and by night there are excellent bars, cantinas, and discos. There are over 100 venues all along the Bay offering live music at least once a week – live Cuban, jazz, rock, Latin American, Mexican ranchero, and Mariachi music, and a lot of it happens in El Centro, (the Malecón), a spot where many consider to be the heart of Vallarta’s nightlife.
Exploration and Sight Seeing: Puerto Vallarta is a treasure trove for the explorer and sightseer! Start with a walking tour of the city along the Malecón, a waterfront promenade featuring fine restaurants, cafes, and public art exhibits. Boat tours on the Banderas Bay. Horseback riding, jungle tours, and mountain hiking are available. Also for a modest fee, you can secure taxi service that will take you all throughout the region seeing some of the famous sites. In the winter months you may be able to spot humpback whales in the Bay, during their annual migrations. Tours and excursions include pirate cruises, beach excursions, hot air balloon tours, and private boat charters. Side trips and getaways abound – consider a day trip to Guadalajara, Mexico’s second largest city.
Other: From horseback riding expeditions to watching a real bullfight, from some fantastic fishing for large and small fish in the incredibly rich Banderas Bay to doing a canopy and jungle tour literally at the top of the jungle, from swimming with dolphins to admiring the incredible sunsets - truly the list is endless of what you can do in Puerto Vallarta, the Banderas Bay and beaches that grace its western edge, and the Sierra Madre Mountains that hug its eastern borders!
